The magic around us
I find nature to be exhilarating. And calming. The strength of its wonder can take my breath away, and the space to be still can restore those healing, deep breaths.
I don’t get into deep nature very often. My legs don’t want to carry me, the sun drains my energy, and the bugs simply bug me (at least, the flying and biting ones).
My husband, on the other hand, is drawn to deep nature. Surrounded by the vastness and the stillness away from it all, he finds his place of restoration, and he craves it. He is always the reason I find myself in deep nature, and I appreciate him for that.
My nature is best found a few steps from my front door. Any farther and just thinking about it makes me too tired to try! I have so many other enjoyable things to spend my time on, after all, which take far less energy (think: sitting and crocheting). We have recently been renting a garden plot which is a 10 minute drive away, which is a tiring thought so I don’t get there daily, but I enjoy every minute I am there.
I like to find the beauty in the miniature, in the minute, in the details others may miss. Macro photography, tiny plant babies, the detail in my husband’s eyes.
Nature is totally magic.
(P.S. Thanks God! It’s fun!)
